Motion Control – All Ceramic Bearings

Motion Control – At 3,000 rpm on a bench-top flywheel test stand, an all ceramic bearing used 1.2w watts less power than all metal bearings and 10 to 12 % less current. Because all ceramic bearings (races and balls) are smoother and harder than all metal bearings they have an extremely low coefficient of friction. Therefore, they require less power, less lubrication, do not spall under load. Additionally, they have better thermal properties, no arcing, and longer life!
Motion control Linear Bearings from LM76 include: Linear Ball bearings, with either steel or ceramic balls, Ceramic Coated Sleeve Bearings, PTFE and PTFE Composite Lined Bearings, and ETX. Precision Shafting, which can be customed machined, cut to length, and is available in: Rc60 Case Hardened Steel, 440c Case Hardened Stainless Steel, 304 Stainless Steel, 316 Stainless Steel, and Ceramic Coated Aluminum.
